In honor of AANHPI Heritage Month, I led some workshops at the Austin Public Library. We also had our monthly paint night at Hold Out Brewing!
St. John Library Branch. We planned for 24 attendees and we ended up with ~40! It was wonderful to paint surrounded by books and conversation.
My friend, Rachel, documented the St John event with her camera and writing. She runs Difficult Friends, a community group for arts & humanities events, check out her post & group!
From Boots & Blooms paint night. Everyone made their own bouquets after I demonstrated how to paint flowers.
Sarah’s Notes:
I was moved and inspired by how photos tell a story and capture the moments of community, quiet, and connection. I want to do a better job documenting Get Crafty ATX events, so much so that I got a digicam.
I’ll be traveling for most of June so I don’t have many workshops this month. I’m excited to share new workshops I’m putting together.
